39th Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul Events Have Been Announced!
Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul, which is among the five biggest building exhibitions of the world, will host professionals of the building sector for the 39th time on May 10-14 at Tüyap Fair Convention Center. Once again, the exhibition will support the sector and the national economy with events organized as a part of the “Business Development Platform”. The 39th Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul will provide benefits about sectoral information flow and new markets to this year’s increased amount of exhibitors and visitors. The main activities that will be organized by the platform during the exhibition will be “Guest Region Africa Project: Africa – Turkey Construction Forum and B2B Sessions”, “Iran – Turkey Construction Forum and B2B Sessions” and “Domestic and Foreign Procurement Committees B2B Sessions”. In addition to these events, Chris Bosse’s “City of the Future: The Synergy of Man, Technology and Nature in the Urban Environment” and “A Career in Architecture” events will be organized during the exhibition. Also, for the first time this year, the visitors of the exhibition will be able to reach the product groups and brands according to their interest more easily with the “Guided Tour” program that will be provided during the exhibition.
 
AFRICA: Target Market of Turkey’s Building Sector... Guest Region Africa Project:  Kenya, Nigeria and Mozambique
This year for the first time, the Guest Country Project that is one of the activities of Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul’s “Business Development Platform” is hosting the region of Africa; with Kenya, Nigeria and Mozambique which are among the target markets of the Turkish building sector. Kenya, Nigeria and Mozambique are among the potential growth areas of the Turkish building sector that is in search of new markets with their growth and expenditure in the construction sector in addition to their geographical locations within the continent and fast-growing consistent economies. These countries will be evaluated as a part of the Guest Region Africa Project. Following the “Africa – Turkey Construction Forum” that will be organized during the exhibition as a part of the project, the procurement committees  will be coming from these three countries and other important markets of the continent will be gathered with exhibiting companies at the “B2B Sessions Meeting”. Kenya, Nigeria and Mozambique, who import 5 billion dollars’ worth of construction material in a year, are expected to have an effect on the growth of the Turkish construction material exportation with their increasing construction expenditures.
 
Strongest Economy of the Middle East Market; Iran – Turkey Construction Forum and B2B Sessions
The trade relations that might be developed with Iran, which has become a land of opportunity after the international disembargo, and the planning processes of these trade relations will be evaluated at the ‘’Iran - Turkey Construction Forum’’. The goal is to support the sector in terms of new business and cooperation opportunities by gathering senior officials from Iran with the professionals of the Turkish building sector. Immediately after the ‘’Iran – Turkey Construction Forum’’ that will take place with the sponsorship of Kalekim, the B2B Sessions Meeting will be taking place with the goal of benefiting the trading in the Turkish building sector.

Domestic and Foreign Procurement Committees
The “Foreign Procurement Committees B2B Sessions”, which is one of the activities of the Business Development Platform of the exhibition and is organized with the Central Anatolian Exporters Union (OAİB) and within the coordinator ship of Turkish Ministry of Economy, will take place with the attendance of 40 countries this year. Company executives attending from Algeria, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Egypt, England, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Macedonia, Malaysia, Morocco, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Spain, Sudan, Switzerland, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vietnam and Zambia will be gathered with the Turkish construction sector material producers in B2B Sessions.
The “Foreign Procurement Committees Visiting Program”, which is organized to have all shareholders of the sector effectively communicate with each other, keep track of all trends in the sector and increase the trading activities in this field, is among the events that will take place at the exhibition.
 
Architect Selçuk Avcı’s “Sustainability in Turkey and Turkish Contractors Association Experience” Seminar
Famous architect Selçuk Avcı’s “Sustainability in Turkey and Turkish Contractors Association Experience” seminar will take place on the first day of the exhibition, May 10 2016, at the “Event Ground” located within the fairground. At the seminar, architect Selçuk Avcı will be sharing his experiences in relation to the Turkish Contractors Association Headquarters Project that is designed on principles of sustainability in every aspect with the professionals of the Turkish building sector.
 
RIBA-awarded famous architect Chris Bosse is at the 39th Yapı - Turkeybuild Istanbul!
The world-renowned architect Chris Bosse, who is characterized as a “rising star designer of Asia” and the creator of the “More with Less” motto, will be meeting with building professionals at the 39th Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul. Bosse, who is on the “40 architects under 40” list of Perspective Magazine, goes with the motto of “More with Less” in his works and brings digital design, nature’s principals and the latest digital fabrication technologies together. RIBA-awarded famous architect Chris Bosse’s lecture titled “City of the Future: The Synergy of Man, Technology and Nature in the Urban Environment” will take place on Wednesday, May 11 2016 at the fairground. 
 
“New Materials of the Architect” Event
The “New Materials of the Architect” event, which will contain discussions about the main materials, subjects and contexts that create the thoughts of an architect and highlight the importance of the material in the design process, will take place on May 12 2016. Architecture H. Cenk Dereli will be the moderator of this event and architecture Ahmet Alatas and Sinan Logie will give speeches.
 
“A Career in Architecture” Event 
Another new event added to the 39th Yapı – Turkeybuild is the “A Career in Architecture” event that will take place on May 13 2016 at 14:00 at the Seminar Area located in the fairground.
The event will host six spokespersons who are graduated from faculty of architecture, experts in different fields of the building sector and senior managers also an information flow will be provided for the architecture students evaluation of post-graduation career opportunities.
At the Event, young architects, those who work in different professions following their graduation from faculty of architecture and academicians will be gathering with students of architecture. Neslihan Şık will be the moderator of this event and M. Architect Burcu Başer, M. Architect Cemal Emden, M. Architect Pınar Gökbayrak, Architect Emre Gündoğdu, Architect Banu Uçak and M. Architect Burçin Yıldırım will share their experiences with the professionals of the future.
